Clach MacEanruig

Backblip

A half day's digging, then driving back down the road.
We stopped in a lay-by just outside Glencoe Village so I could check a text that I had just got from M, and to stretch my legs after the first couple of hours of driving.
I was startled to see a sign by the road with my name on it, and, on investigating, found this mighty and impressive stone! Apparently, it was on this rock that my clansmen would stand to play the great pipes to call the MacDonalds of Glencoe to arms. They were also supposed to be the bodyguards of the MacDonald chiefs. Not a good night's work one cold February in 1692!
