Our Last Dinner

I figured I had better finish up posting my photos from our 3 week trip to Ireland and London.  To say it was a wonderful trip does not give it justice. We had so much fun with our traveling companions J&B.  J and I go back to nursing school.  We met in a long line during registration for "Chemistry" and we immediately clicked and supported each other through the rest of our grueling classes.   Forty some years later, we find we are still very in sync with each other.  We are fortunate that our husbands have bonded too with many of the same intellectual interests and shared medical profession.  In addition they are both runners.

We had so many adventures, delicious dinners, and fun happy hours. We walked miles every day and saw spectacular scenery. We also had the pleasure of 16 days of wonderful Irish hospitality.  I feel that I still didn't see or experience it all and would happily make a return trip.

Our last 3 nights were spent at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast which was quite a treat.  The hotel's dining room, The Great Room, was the site of our last, very elegant dinner together before they caught a flight the next morning home to Nashville and we headed on to London.

The picture isn't great.  The room was dark and it was taken with a phone, but it is nice to have this memory.
