December 1 in the yard

Some flowers still hanging in there despite the cold, a camellia bud showing some color, a limb of the Japanese maple that fell, new growth on the forsythia, some irises sticking up through the leaves and a succulent that I keep on the porch. The tea olive has blooms but the fabulous scent is very faint. I think my bush is too young.

The lizard was thinking I did not see him but I did.

After a few cold days this week it is back to normal. I have the door and one window open. If only December would stay sunny and 65!
