Hyde Hall

Impromptu visit to meet Michelle at Hyde Hall, for a little walk in fresh crisp air, hot drink and good conversation as always. She's got an awful chest infection, poor love, but thankfully now has antibiotics. Flutterings of snow on the way there, and met by a beautiful chubby Robin singing his heart out! I think he followed us up to the top as well. All the twisted willow and dogwood made a beautiful display along with dark seed heads, callicarpa purple berries and even some flowering penstemon. The ducks were wandering along the frozen pond being fed by little hands. Everywhere was set up for GLOW, which I'd like to see sometime. A musical light show, but lot's of people.

Came home to pack for the wknd then went to meet CM, my teacher from last year. Good catch up. She was stressing as hadn't been able to find the hidden elf at home that was supposed to make an appearance for the children at home this morning! She'd spent the morning trying to buy another. As if she doesn't have enough to think about.

Long 3hr journey to Norfolk. Never great on a Friday night close to Christmas but worth it to sit in front of the open fire with my boys and peace.
