Sgwarnog: In the Field

Production

16yo and I headed across to York to catch a production of A Christmas Carol, which is one of her GCSE texts.

The trains and the town were very busy with people flooding in for the Christmas markets. The minster bells were pealing continuously, barely muted by the mist which shrouded the gargoyles and grotesques on the towers.

After lunch, we caught a bus out to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, a first visit to that venue. Somewhere along the way I’d managed to get my wires crossed, so I thought I’d booked a one person play when in fact it was a full cast musical production.  We didn’t have any complaints though, it was very nicely done.
