Frozen World

Winter has arrived! We haven't had any snow, as yet, but a lot of the canals have frozen. The Hollandse IJssel and the Linschoten River are too large, so haven't. You can see in the extra photos, how beautiful it all was. I've really enjoyed going out with Little Man, who has enjoyed chatting away about everything going through his head.

Little Man and I went for a walk this morning. He wasn't impressed that his Opa Granddad left him at home to get the shopping so I took him out. We went along our normal route past the Hollandse IJssel. It was gorgeous. Little Man really enjoyed it. I made sure he was extremely well-wrapped up before we left.

This afternoon we spent a few hours with friends in Alphen aan den Rijn. They had thrown a party for Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas). Everyone had pulled the name of someone else in the group, to bring a present. There was food as well. Little Man and I didn't stay the entire time as we were both quite tired.
