Mist

We still haven't had snow and lat last night it starting raining with the temperature just above freezing. The rain continued all day, and with Mrs BB happy to stay home, I went out for a local drive to get a blipfoto.

About a quarter of an hour from home is Welsh Newton (Herefordshire, England UK) with Manson Lane running for a couple of a miles to Buckholt, Monmouth (South Wales) so the lane disects the border. It has stunning views along its length towards Abergavenny and The Brecon Beacons beyond. The views were somewhat obscured by mist but still lovely as the photo' shows.

We've friends and neighbours calling in about 5pm to celebrate Archie's 60th birthday. I was up early doing a chicken casserole in the slow cooker with pilau rice which I'll do in the steamer just before they arrive. It won't be a late night. I hope Archie enjoys the meal and a surprise birthday cake his wife dropped in yesterday. Oh, to be 60 again or even 50 or 40.....where do the years go?!
