"Ich liebe es, auf-Wanderschaft gehen"

Sorry, couldn't resist it.
For those of you way too young ...
"The song 'Happy wanderer' was done by Friedrich W. Moller in 1954. However, the song was written by Antonia Ridge."

We pass White Moss Common multiseveral times every year and, so far as I recall, I haven't walked that area since about the same time as the song. Well mebbe 10-15 yrs later if I'm honest.

We keep saying "We must have a look at the area sometime."
We did, and will, like as not, continue to do so for some time to come.
Followed the beck to an upper bridge where we got this glimpse of the lower reaches of Grassmere.
I've probably said this multiseveral times too.
There is ONLY ONE lake in the Lake District, and that's Bassenthwaite Lake. Yet people WILL insist on saying they're going to Lake Winderlake, Lake Grasslake, etc.
ALL the others have a name which implies a stretch of water WITHOUT sticking "Lake" in there. If you really must differentiate one from t'other it's Windermere & Windermere village, Grassmere & Grassmere Village.
GOT THAT???
