Christmas a go go

Sky Park farm has gone full Xmas, this is just a corner of it, but there are grottos  and trees and let’s get jolly all over the place.  The trouble is that in the endless rain it just feels a bit dispiriting.  

The rain meant that I felt fully justified to stay in all day. So I did chores, clearing stuff out, tidying up, putting stuff on Vinted and into charity bags.   Making veg soup with delicious stock from last night and then cooked the final pheasant pot roast a la Nigel Slater.  It was why I was at the farm to pick up some fatty bacon. 

Watched some telly in front of the fire, the second of the Dr Who anniversary specials (so enjoyable to have David Tennant back for a bit)  and the last episode of Culprits which inevitably went a bit silly in the end.
