Driving Home

Leaving The Lodge requires an early start on a Sunday morning. Our friends are always generous with the result that we travel home with more ‘bottles’ than we started with.

Quite a number of bottles were consumed during the festivities surrounding Thanksgiving.

The drive home is uneventful although Apple Maps does take us along some narrow roads which we enjoy.

Pat took several landscape photographs of the snowy countryside.

Packing the car at Craigendarroch means unpacking the car when we reach home and also bringing Forgandakey back online.

It has been very cold in the Kingdom of Fife and it took a little time to bring our home up to a comfortable temparture.

The heating is never off, but switching on the second heat pump was necessary to ward off the chills.

As a precaution I always turn off the water supply.

Our neighbour also keeps an eye on our home.
