June Challenge: Day 16 ...

What a busy, but fun day we had!

We (R, my sister B, and I) started the day driving to Lackawanna State Park to meet my other siblings for a picnic. The park was about half way between where each of us live. My brother (D), his wife (M) and two daughters (R&C) drove down with my other sister (N) so that we could spend the day together. D & I had planned the picnic and we all brought food to share ~ there was plenty.

The state park was really nice and the weather was okay. We were worried at first because shortly after we got there, there was a short light rain fall. But it cleared up and the rest of the afternoon was clear of any rain. It wasn't totally sunny but that's okay.

Once we got back home we had dinner with B and after that she packed up and started back to her work hotel (about 2 hours away!). She will be there for a few more days and flies back to California on Wednesday.

After she left we started (R actually) baking these cupcakes for a bake sale he is having at work on Monday. He did the baking and I helped with the decorating. These are known as Ice Cream Cupcakes. You actually bake the cake mix right in the ice cream cones and then decorate to make them look like ice cream cones. And we hope they make a big splash at the bake sale!
