Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Well, I've been eating white bread toast all day. With honey. And tonight, with poached eggs. There is a list of things I'm allowed eat, but I was happy with my menu. Nothing tomorrow. Except that potion...

I've been out twice with Archie, (5,836 steps). Not too cold, but I had my ear flap hat on to keep my earbuds safe.

We had a bit of a flap about one of our internal OZ flights, from Brisbane to Sydney, when we will actually be in Tweed Heads, which is about 100km south of Brisbane. Tweed Heads also has an airport, and it would save a journey back to and from Brisbane. (Perhaps the travel agent should could have spotted this and suggested it). But it's going to cost much more, as the fares have gone up since we booked (months ago) and we have to pay to cancel the flights. Not worth it. Anyway, I do like a train ride.

The ladies were out on the town tonight. Another of those special invites from posh shops for good customers. Hazel gets the invites, JR is her +1. This was an excellent bash last year, with very nice canapés to go with the bubbles. I don't know about Hazel - I think she was always intending to take her newest dress out for a whirl, but JR took several days to decide on her twinkly top, and there are also twinkles in her wide pants (I think there's a name for them... palazzo pants?) Gorgeous. All three of ‘em!

Archie and I are snuggled up at home. Only one of us is worrying about tomorrow...
