Another business meeting today - this time, meeting a potential author who lives on Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain though is in the UK visiting relatives.

Having paid little attention to a discussion on the radio a couple of days back about the location of the centre of England, I was quite surprised when I reached our meeting place to find it was, in fact, Meriden, centre of England (near Coventry). There has always been some debate over the exact place and apparently Ordnance Survey mapping agency have just decided they got it slightly wrong. Whatever happens, Meriden has a long history boasting that it is England's centre spot and that w0n't disappear in a hurry.
