It Had To Bee

Yes, folks, another bee pic - and also one of my favourite garden plants (Tradescantia virginiana), unusual in that it has 3 petals. Apart from a tendency to be too vigorous, trying to take over the garden, it is a great no-fuss plant. And purple is my favourite colour.

I like the thick fur scarf this bee is wearing. I tried to identify it (bee, not scarf!) with the help of Google - it could be a red-tailed bumble bee perhaps.

An odd mixed day of grey skies, some sun and the heavy feel of a storm brewing. Fair weather, though for a morning walk before getting back to work on the computer.
