Stollen

The smell in the kitchen this afternoon was incredible! Cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamon, vanilla, fresh bread all in a wonderful bake.
I could have eaten a large slice of this stollen, but they are meant for the market on Friday, and are supposed to improve with keeping as the moisture from the sherry soaked raisins gradually works through the loaf…..
Perhaps there will be one left over!
