David's cherry cake

It's been a long day of travel. This morning we drove through the pouring rain to Gretna. Here we met my not-so-little sister and handed Mummy hazelh into her care for a long weekend. After a quick lunch together, we pointed our car north again. Meanwhile the other two headed south for a hotel stay in the Lake District.

Mr hazelh and I broke our return journey with a stop at Bella and David's house just outside Biggar. Our hosts served us a lovely afternoon tea with cherry cake (blipped), scones, and Tunnock's teacakes. We added a box of Lindt chocolates to the table.

Back home again, we concocted a supper of leftovers: avocado on toast topped with bacon and a poached egg.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike.
