Barbara Rae prints in Derbyshire

We had a trip out this afternoon to see some Barbara Rae prints that were being exhibited at Gallery Top in Rowsley, Derbyshire (the village at the south end of the Chatsworth Estate). It was good to see them and I really like the print on the right side of the window but I think they are a bit outside my budget - even with 10 months interest free credit (provided by the Arts Council Buy Art Scheme).

We also explored Caudswell's Mill, which is a working flour mill, plus craft and art galleries. I took several photos around the mill but couldn't decide which one of these to post - also the light was overcast and funny even though the temperature was high. So in the end I had quite a lot of rejects.

We came back the long and scenic way to avoid all of the roadworks and evening traffic through Sheffield.

Our route home: Baslow, Grindleford, Hathersage, Bamford, Derwent Reservoir, Strines (Mortimor Road), Midhopestones, Stocksbridge Bypass, Home
