Happy Hanukkah

A trip down memory lane. Every December Val and I used to visit the churchyards in Bushey and Radlett to tidy up the graves of her parents and mine. Now her brother, Chris, and wife and my sister, Sue, make up the party. It's a lovely trip prompting us to muse on our lives and all that has happened since we lived in Hertfordshire. 

After we had done the necessary gardening and laid wreathes we went for a lunch at a pub that was on our old stamping ground. Now it's been transformed into a chi chi gastro set up.

Before sitting down we made a tour round the road where Val and Chris grew up. Their house has long since been demolished and a new bigger version built on the site. Here it is complete with decorations. Never seen Hannuk inflatables before.

A satisfying day keeping in touch with our roots.
