Scotland Tour - Day 4

Day four was another driving day as we headed up the coast to Wick, John O'Groats and Thurso. The weather was great and we saw some fantastic sights on the way.

This is the small harbour at John O'Groats where the fishermen were cleaning and repairing their boat. I was amazed to see how close the Orkney's and Stroma were to the mainland.

We stopped at Castle Of Mey, the Scottish residence of the Queen Mother. Had a walk around the garden and a bite of lunch.

We then headed west through Thurso to see the Dounraey Nuclear site before taking the inland road back to Helmsdale and Dornoch.
