Down by the ponds

We were quite late getting back from church, nobody wanted to go home, after a good service.
After lunch I went for a walk down by the ponds where it was a bit dark for any pics except close-ups with flash. Here you have hazel, witch's butter and beech. Although it's a few days since it got slightly warmer there's still ice under the surface of the ponds an dit was funny to see a skating moorhen. There was also a very unfazed roe deer.
A snooze when I got in and I must continue with the Christmas correspondence, I did make some progress yesterday.
