Dust

J the plasterer arrived just after 7am and started sanding.  The sander was a big industrial model with a light, and a long hose leading to what we assume was a large receptacle to collect the dust.  Despite this, and despite J vacuuming each room as he went, there was still a lot of dust to deal with.  The whole house is going to need a deep clean when all the work is finished.

A the painter turned up and we discussed what needed to be done in the various rooms, which won’t be until after the Christmas holiday period.  He put an undercoat on the stairwell today and will return on Thursday and Friday to do the two top coats.  It’s looking better already.

I had an appointment in town at 10am, so walked down and back.  After I arrived back home we had a quick chat with A the painter, gathered together a few things and drove out to Ngapara to visit our lovely blip friend, Mima, and her beautiful dog, Bean.  We had a very convivial time, a delicious lunch and a nice walk, then said our goodbyes and returned home.

Apologies, but I still haven’t had time to check in on blip.  I’ll catch up soon.

As I walked home from town I saw this beautiful tree glistening red in the sunlight, against a lovely blue sky.
