Welcome

One of our village shops looking cheerful and welcome with all its sparkling light. The Christmas lights in the village make such a difference to the long, dark nights but taking a good pic of them is difficult!

Chris and I took Berry out together to one of her favourite spots - but then, she doesn't have anywhere she doesn't want to go for a walk! Chris's arthritic foot means that he can't stride out as he used to so it was a bit interesting wrangling Berry, who was shooting around, and trying to maintain a conversation!  It's a loss of a pleasurable, relaxed activity together that has happened just because of circumstances that I'm trying to rectify.

There were plenty of interesting birds on the small, adjacent Loch but guess who forgot to take any pictures- I was too busy looking! Plenty of swans and their guardian Wigeon who like to hoover up bits that the swans dredge up; Goldeneye, Merganser, Dabchick, Long-tailed Duck, possibly some Slavonian Grebe but we n need to look those up. At least I now know what's there as I've been driving past, probably not very safely,  peering at them and wondering!

Then off into town for a spot of lunch and final bit of present buying.  I think.

Yoga tonight and then the last episode of 'Julius Caesar'. The series has been fascinating, not least because of the parallels that can be drawn with present day tyrants.  We haven't progressed much in 2,000 years.
