Dessert....

Counting my blessings. Christmas lunch with colleagues and Basque cheese cake for dessert. We had such a nice time!

It's been a frustrating day with devastating news from Gaza.  However there are also glimpses of heartfelt touching stories.
 
M lives in Belgium. The last two months have been a nightmare for him, constant fear of what is happening to his family in Gaza. They are still staying in their north. The neighbourhood is carpet bombed, but their home is still standing. I will not even try to explain what they have been through and the hell they are living in.  

M was afraid to share the news that his third child, a baby girl was born. There is so much horror and death, so much suffering. He expected mixed feelings. They rejoiced! They were over the moon! The new family member gave them hope. 
 - I could really feel their genuine happiness, he said. They were counting their blessings. 
He counted his blessings.
