Life through the lens...

Victorian Architecture

At last a day of no rain and even some sunshine.
We have had a very enjoyable day, visiting relatives and friends, including my sister and BIL as it’s his Birthday today.
After lunch we went over to see Jude and Leo. Because of his cold it is the first time MrC has met Leo. ( see extra)He has certainly altered since I saw him just a couple of weeks ago.

My blip for Wide Wednesday, with the theme:
Architecture, is Cleckheaton Town Hall, built in 1892. It
Designed by Mawson & Hudson of Bradford who also designed Bradford Wool Exchange, St George’s Hall, and Bradford Town Hall.
Since opening it has been the at the centre of community life,  not only in the town of Cleckheaton, but at the very heart of history, politics and culture across Spen Valley.
It includes a 398 seat theatre, and is Grade II listed.
Now because of Kirklees Council cuts is going to close completely on 31st December 2023.
