Up Early

I was up by 6am but probably missed lots of early waterhole activity. It was great to see loads of young animals coming in to drink though; there are no large cats in the park so there’s less danger for them here. Heard a lot of banging from behind the lodge and found it was a hornbill catching sight of its reflection and battering the car window. Didn’t realise it’s mate was ripping a windscreen wiperblade apart!
Sadly we then had to head back to Jo’burg, only stopping on the way for a great, ridiculously cheap lunch ((I can recommend biltong quiche!). Have to say, we’ve had a pretty great time!
