At St Monans.

Another busy day which was at least dry with a bit of sunshine.  Tidied up the freezer before going to Ardross farm shop. There wasn't much free space in it so I intended to shop carefully.  Ha !  Forgot all about that when I got there and went a bit mad as usual. Carried on to St Monans afterwards to find a blip.  I wasn't going to photograph the church again but managed to include Inverie Burn this time. The church is either 12th or 13th century depending on which story you believe.  There are a good few to choose from.. St Monans was a  9th century hermit who built a cell, was killed by Vikings and had a shrine built in his honour. That's one story anyway. It's one of the few medieval churches still in use in Scotland and has a beautiful model of an 18th century ship hanging from it's ceiling. Went to Cuoar afterwards to buy the Christmas supply of ice cream from Luvain's.  The town was heaving but I managed to park not too far away.  Stocked up on their bombes which are snowball sized, coated with thick dark chocolate and come in different flavours. Found a new route home to escape from all the traffic and remembered to stop at Brigend to buy yet more food for the birds and a new feeder for their Christmas.. By some miracle managed to fit all the goodies into the freezer and fell on the sofa with a mug of tea.  I won't be going anywhere tomorrow that's for sure.
