Skye Day 4 - The Quiraing and a change of plans

Last night, we had a lot of rain and wind, but the forecast has been right during our entire trip so far, so when we saw it would probably not be raining around sunrise we decided to head out to the Quiraing this morning.

When we arrived, it was raining but sure enough: it stopped before sunrise. Still, we were surprised by a short period of rain but it wasn't too bad. All in all, we were able to do more than we anticipated and we came away with some decent shots (more in the extras).

When we had returned to our cottage, we checked the weather situation for tomorrow. We already knew that tomorrow would be rainy and windy, but the yellow weather warning for Saturday and the amber warning for Sunday had us a bit worried. Our plan was to stay in the cottage until Sunday morning and then return to Inverness for our flight home, but since tomorrow will be nothing but rain and wind, we won't be doing any photography anyway. We decided to leave tomorrow and we have booked hotel rooms in Inverness. Maybe a bit overcautious, but we didn't want any stress on the day we have to catch a flight...
