Old And New ...

In the pond in the backyard blooms the yellow iris. A beautiful flower, I think.

Two stages in this picture. The sword flag in the bud and the stage of decay. Although the flowers have just come in bloom the warm weather of the last days expedited decay.

There is the focus in the picture. It seems as if all the liquid is extruded by the strong contraction of the petals.
