Another very steamy blip from Tryfan

I was at Rolvenden signalbox on a learning turn with the chief signalling inspector. A very intensive service, 8 round trips of Santa Specials to Northiam each train topped and tailed by a locomotive.

In addition numerous light engine moves to and from Rolvenden and Tenterden as well as the shuffling of locomotives in the yard made for a full on day from booking on at 7.55 and booking off at 18.10. A long but very enjoyable shift.

Lots of good practice at crossing trains at Rolvenden. Usually there’s only one crossing move, three on a Sunday, seven today.
