The mouth test... a serious business

Simone has reached that stage where anything she picks up must be carefully tasted and then thoroughly tested by those powerful gums. Two tiny bottom teeth have come through now too.
I looked after her for a couple of hours today, while Jack and Marianna went out for lunch together.  She napped for a while, and to my relief, when she woke up she was happy to see me.  We played contentedly on a large padded mat on the living-room floor, with an array of items that she could safely grasp and put in her mouth.
Given the wild wet gusts blowing outside, staying in together was no hardship.
And from here on in... the days will start to get longer again. Yes...!
