Star of Night

Our solitary Christmas decoration, which shines in the darkness, and can be seen in part of town, and from the main road to Reguengos.

Got fed up with the dirt in the house, so had a good scrub around and washed all the mats - even though we're not expecting any visitors, ha! Unlike yesterday, bright sunshine all day, and we ate lunch outside, though going down to 3C (37F) tonight.

Walking to Cecílio and Ermelinda's in a bit for a last meal before they go up north for Christmas.

Gratefuls:
- Allegra (oldest granddaughter) winning the merit award in her class "for being consistently good, kind, polite, and doing good work, paying attention, etc", and the loveliest thing was her big brother being genuinely pleased for her, even though he's never won it (paying attention is not his forte!)
- incredibly clear skies, so blue in the daytime, and amazing stars and planets at night
- Mike making progress on the North Wing (the third from right light in the photo)
