More lights

It is a relief that today is not too busy as I was feeling the effects of last night a little bit. I’d spent a lot of the journey home - and the hours in bed - hiccuping and, to add the fuzzy head, I had a very sore chest from the hiccups. It took until the early afternoon to subside.

In the end we only had a few work-related meetings and I caught up on some corporate videos that I am supposed to have watched.  That seemed like the easiest way to try to spend the day productively but also not the best way to energise the day. So, at about 6pm, PY and I took a walk into Wimbledon. We had a voucher, from M&S, for a free bottle of one of their Christmas drinks in a light-up bottle and thought we should get it before the offer expired.  Once we’d seen it we knew we’d be busing several of these as gifts: they’re quite cute. I think the voucher offer served its purpose!

Nice to be out after a day feeling a bit stuffy in a hot room all day.  The lights around the Wimbledon Quarter look nice. We failed to come-up with the presents we were searching for in Tesco and made a last minute dash to Costa Coffee to grab a drink before it closed and their free coffee voucher also expired.  The screens in-store kept flipping away from the menus to show festive messages so PY, who really wanted a Christmas-themed drink, ordered a regular coffee because he couldn’t wait until everything went round on a loop again.
