Roll With It

Slipped Through The Net

I’m not sure how I forgot to post as a Blip on the day but anyway.
This week my youngest brother, Adrian, shown with his wife Liz to the left in the photo, became a Freeman Of The City Of London. A bit of a financial whizz kid is our Adrian and an expert in tax affairs, he has worked his way up the greasy pole in the corporate world and thoroughly deserves this.
A ‘real ale’ enthusiast I look forward to catching up with him for a celebratory beer sooner rather than later.

On the home front it’s been a quiet Sunday, probably the last quiet day for a fortnight. The supermarket induced frenzy will build until the buying public have purchased way more than they need. The supermarkets expect to make anything up to 40% of their annual profit in this period.
If people calmed and realised it’s just an enhanced Sunday chicken roast, bigger bird, more people dining, life would be much simpler.
I read Jamie Oliver’s recipe for gravy recently, it has more ingredients than our lunch and the recipe requires you make it the previous day - ludicrous!!
