Northern sunset

We have reached the time of the year when the sun sets in the north. Living in southern England, and not being very observant, I though the sun always set in the west. When we moved to Perth 20 odd years ago it was obvious that isn't the case.

I don't get a good view to the north from my house, and when I went into the kitchen and saw it lit up red from the window I knew I wouldn't have time to go far. So this is just a glimpse across the roofs.
