Officially grumpy old plus one

I am having a lovely birthday playing with my new toys. We had to go and get some more bits for drainpipes but then stopped in Dedham for a walk along the river.I tried to photograph some of the damselflies again , leaping about after them like a thing possessed.One thing I'm not good at is catching moving objects and these didn't sit still for more than a couple of seconds. Failed again I'm afraid !
This duck was sitting by the mill pond and was obviously very used to having his portrait done. He protested when I got a little closer than he liked and had to move away to a comfortable distance.
