"And some goldfinches in a birch tree" ....

.... to be sung to the closing line of "The Twelve Days of Christmas"!

The goldfinches were out in force early this morning, sunning themselves on our silver birch and enjoying some of the catkins. 

I still have some extras going spare so if you have time, I've added one of Ivy unwrapping her Christmas present - the little bear I won in the Prescott Hill Climb end of year luncheon raffle.  In the second extra is another little bear given to me for Christmas by Aliscotia which looks very much at home on our tree!
