Abundance

Just like everything else this year, roses are blooming profusely. Another reason I have a lot of roses is because I didn't prune them. I am usually quite a severe pruner in the old fashioned way and this produces fewer but larger blooms. I think in future I shall be a light pruner! It is great to have enough roses to be able to cut some to bring indoors.

My photography enthusiasm has been put to use today as Normous wants to sell his woodworking lathe and it needed to be photographed. He also has lots of chisels and other tools and we arranged these on the garden table. I had to get on a step ladder to get a good shot, and felt like the papparazi!
