Relaxing

It drizzled a bit this morning and remained grey and overcast during the day, but we decided to go out for a walk late morning and took the longer, hillier route into town.  When we arrived in the Victorian precinct we poked our noses into shops we hadn’t been into before and wandered into the Forrester Gallery to look at the current exhibitions.  By then we were feeling a bit peckish, so we went into Taste Café for a light bite and a coffee.  We took a different route home, so had lots of different house and gardens to look at.  It was lovely to take our time and enjoy the day.

While in the Victorian precinct we walked past the steam locomotive, which was operating today (https://www.oamaru-steam.org.nz/stock.php).
