More Beatle geekery, this time from the debut album by the Mamas and the Papas, with Mama Cass's lead vocal, on this John Lennon (mainly) and Paul McCartney composition, written for Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, who were also managed by Brian Epstein. John Lennon didn't like their arrangement and recorded it later with The Beatles. Their version was on their Long Tall Sally EP (UK) or The Beatles' Second Album (US)(1964).
