Recent Acquisitions (Friday 29th December 2023)

It has been a month of acquisitions, some related to Christmas, some, like this, a response to the sales. This is one of a pair of speakers that will be the front left and front right of the surround system in my outbuilding, once it is restored after last winter's flooding.
They were delivered this morning and are temporarily being tested in my living room. Each one weighs 31 kilograms and is 44 inches tall, so getting them unpacked and installed was quite a job. They were massively expensive but in the sale had been reduced by £1,500: bargain!

P.S. I've just discovered that with this blip I have completed 11 Blip years of entries. Since my earliest was in 1960, it has taken me sixty-three years to reach this milestone! ;-).

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Pledging My Time (recorded 2021, Los Angeles CA)
Last night I watched the monochrome film Shadow Kingdom: The Early Songs Of Bob Dylan, which had been created from recordings that Dylan had made earlier in the year. In the film he is in a fictional Parisienne night club performing with a group of musicians who are finger synching to a completely different set of musicians, including an accordionist, but no drummer.
Pledging My Time
first appeared in a Chicago blues style as a B-side in 1966 and was later included on his album Blonde On Blonde. Prior to this performance he hadn't played it live since 1999.
