The Aisle of Lidl

A horribly wet and windy night, as maybe many places suffered. Our timber house feels rather exposed when the wind is from an easterly direction as a lot of the shelter on that side was cut down a few years ago. The same thing's happening on the other side now, so our wooded hillside is becoming more open.

Finished a game of 'Wingspan' this morning before a trip to the supermarket to top up a few essential items. Lidl wasn't that busy, but I was surprised to look up at one point and see an almost empty aisle, so waited until a couple of people had moved out and a member of staff had wheeled his trolley the other way and snapped a picture of a deserted supermarket!!

The wind had died down earlier, but it started up again this afternoon, so another afternoon indoors. Even the cats were reluctant to go outside though it was obvious that they needed to!

More wind and rain tonight and tomorrow, it seems. Maybe we should have gone abroad for Christmas to a country with a better climate than the Isle of Lidl!
