OOH HOT CHOCOLATE

Well what a stormy night.  There was very loud thunder, right overhead and lightening and gale force winds.  So blessed and thankful that I was tucked up warm and all we had was a slightly disturbed night.

My heart goes out to all those that have been badly affected storm Gerrit.

G and I watched the CBeeebies Christmas Panto this morning.  It's a sort of tradition that we watch that.  I just love seeing the reaction of the children in the audience, there was one little girl who was so gobsmacked that the Tumblebee was Mr Tumble.  Daft I know at our age to watch that but it is just a joyful experience.

Then we decided that we would pop over to Flookburgh, to Brooke Supplies to get a couple of bits and pieces from the hardware store but mainly to have a lovely brunch somewhere other than the same 4 walls.  This is G about to have his hot chocolate, the Scottish lady who made it gave him a bit extra as she had "made a bit too much" - must be the Scottish genes working!!!

As we got into the cafe a prolonged and heavy downpour hit, it was so loud too.  Luckily by the time we came away that had all gone and there was just clouds and puddles that weren't there on the way to Flookburgh!!!

The sun is now shining, yeah, but the wind is still very strong.

That's all for today.  Do take care and stay safe and I will see  you all tomorrow.
