Bass Rock

A free day today so we partook of our free coffee in Dobbies, wandered round the sale items in the adjoining shops then, in the food department, decided to buy a picnic lunch and drive down to North Berwick.

The sky was a constantly changing picture of cloud formations, sunshine and rain. From our parking place the view of the Bass Rock varied with the light as we ate our sandwiches. All photos were taken from the passenger window; I favour the main picture with moody cloud about ten minutes after rain, which had obscured the rock in uniform grey; Mr Flum preferred the extra, of pearly hues surrounding the Bass, some six minutes later.

Time was passing and the light fading as we drove home with an impressive sunset in front of us.
