A Day of Helicopters

A windy and wet day. There was hope of sunshine, but didn't come to much.  Slightly drier tonight.

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  A busy day, started with four helicopter check-ins, then a day working with oil and gas flights.  Finished off the day at the check-in desk.  Megan left on the last flight this evening, caught her before I finished.  A quiet evening at home, I did manage a walk with Sammy.  Off to bed early.

The past few days have been playing catchup after the recent stormy weather, and that includes oil and gas flights.  Due to high winds, the helicopters can't operate for offshore, creating a backlog of workers needing to come and go.  There has been more disruption today, also trigger lightning, but we most workers moving.  Looks like a busy weekend, and possibly folk having to work New Year's day to help out.  Walking the workers to their helicopter, Sumburgh Airport.
