The Last of 2023

This small butternut squash was the last vegetable from our garden that kept until today. It’s a pot of soup now - nice and warming, like a summer’s greeting to the year’s end.

It was a nice day, but I didn’t get to go for a walk, as I visited my mother for lunch and coffee. She was in a bad mood today, but I managed to cheer her up a little with the reenactment of our cats‘ funny habits.
