Nearly over
The Christmas decorations have come down; just the tree lights left. They are a welcome spot of colour on another dreary, windy day but will be put away later.
Berry and I had a beach walk away from the easterly wind, with the waves attempting to run up the incline and being shooed back in the other direction. There was a new seal carcass swathed in the high pile of seaweed, an inevitable casualty. I wonder how many of the pups have survived the terrible weather this year.
Chris is keen to plant the Christmas tree outside but I see so many sad specimens here - they just can't cope with the salt and wind. My preferred choice is to give it to some local goats who apparently love a bit of conifer to spice up their diet. Each to their own!!
