Just so the other 'junior' doesn't get left out of the blips.  Technically still a puppy, just a very big one.

The local garage changed the car's battery following yesterday's interesting experience with car electronics - with the car saying everything had just stopped working - engine, gearbox, handbrake,... whilst still driving down the M5 ostensibly still in one functional piece.  A classic turn-it-off-and-on-again operation sorted it enough for yesterday.

Time to re-start considering a replacement car.  As much as we have a proactive  'eco' mindset, going electric doesn't make any kind of sense at this stage, with our normal miniscule mileage.  Thus, I think it will be petrol this time with a few miles on the clock, and wait (ideally) for hydrogen fuel to catch up.
