Drift

The storm calmed down during the night and now the temperature has fallen a bit, it almost looks like winter out there but the layer of snow is very thin. In places especially exposed to wind the snow has gathered in drifts but on the side by the drift, there's hardly any snow at all. I spent an hour clearing my driveway from drifts, otherwise I couldn't have come out tomorrow when I'm working. One thing about the snow here is that when it has gathered in drifts, it has first passed over sand, earth and debris, that means it's like concrete once it has found a place to rest. Therefore it doesn't look like much what I have to remove but it's heavy, believe me.
