a splash of colour

The day started damp and grey. About 6 am I was watching blackbirds having a feast on the grass verges when a streak of pink flew across the garden. A bullfinch (a rare sight around here) landed briefly on the trellis then flew down and plucked a single seed head from a dandelion.

As promised, the sun came out this afternoon and my gazanias opened wide so had to get a shot for today's blip. Think they will be staying closed over the weekend.
