Sato

The intention was for Gugs and I to hang out all weekend and lounge in coffee shops. However it’s a good job it was, in her words, a flexible sato (slang for Saturday in Swahili) because logistics thwarted me for much of today.

Nairobi traffic is notorious and it took me an age to traverse the city from the meeting venue where I have been staying to the area where I need to be by Sunday evening. I finally arrived at what was a welcome peaceful haven, completed some errands at the nearby mall, and worked on an urgent proposal in the evening whilst munching on sweet Kenyan raspberries.
